Ok so the upgrade is complete, but some of the files for the site’s theme got corrupted somehow so they had to be reloaded. Everything should be working fine now and back to normal, but some stuff is still being worked out and not all of the plugins are back in place yet. However, this shouldn’t really effect your reading of the site.

We are upgrading the site software to Wordpress version 2.6 so there may be some downtime if you try and access the site in the next 20-30 minutes, but we will be back shortly.

Hellboy II is a very fun movie. It has likable characters, good action, good humor and a very strong imagination (but that is to be expected from the director of Pan’s Labyrinth). It may just seem like another super hero movie in a year where men in iron suits, green giants and flying Will Smiths seem to flood the big screen, but Hellboy II is actually my favorite of the bunch so far. I recently received the Nintendo Power 20th anniversary issue! I think it’s probably the best issue in a while. They have a good interview with Keiji Inafune (the creator of Mega Man) about the epic Mega man 9 and a review for Final Fantasy IV for the DS (of course who in the world reads a console specific magazine for the reviews). The best part of the issue (since I already know about Megaman 9) is the “Best of the Best” section which is a list of the 20 best games for every Nintendo console. Here’s how said lists ended up. Wow! This movie is amazing! WALL-E is one of the best movies that Pixar has ever made, and that’s saying a lot. WALL-E is just fantastic. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it, it’s one of those rare movies that is, literally, too good to be true. WALL-E is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Period. Read more

I love old games. Old games were fun. There were so many timeless classics back then, it seems like today people just give a game good graphics and rush it out the door. Nintendo recently revealed the release dates of four upcoming 2008 games.

Mario Super Sluggers will be released August 25th. Its another Mario sports game.

Mystery Case Files: Millionheir will be released September 8th. Its a kind of detective game for the DS.

Wario Land: Shake It! will be released for the Wii on September 29th. It’s a old school style side-scroller complete with hand drawn graphics.

Kirby Super Star Ultra will also be released September 29th. It is a DS remake of my favorite Kirby game…Kirby Super Star!! It will include all the old games included in the original Kirby Super Star along with some new ones.

Thats some really good news for me, but we’ll have to wait for E3 before Nintendo releases any information on any more titles.
